We go to considerable lengths to ensure that our scans fully meet clients' most critical requirements. We are therefore always keen to discuss every detail of your scanning project whatever the size.

You may need scans delivered in a special colour space, or perhaps 16 bit, perhaps you want particular colour or tonal changes made, it's all part of our custom service.

Scans are made from film or prints of up to 6ft x 4ft. We also make scans from negatives to match extensively worked hand- worked darkroom prints. It's far better than scanning prints, as the information and sharpness of detail is simply not there!

Our drum scans offer:

Retention of detail from the brightest highlight to the deepest shadow. Tonal gradations are very smooth and well controlled.
Exceptional sharpness means less damaging USM is needed; film grain is supressed, and optical quality is maximised.
Less need for us to carry out the usual blemish removal work so your picture information is not compromised.
Absence from "smearing" in areas were bright detail is next to dark, which occurs with all scans made using CCD scanners.
Ability to scan film at true high resolution for maximum detail, making huge, top-quality reproductions possible.
Large colour gamut through regular profiling with wide-gamut hand-measured film targets, means no loss of colour.
